How often can we be truly intentional?

September 8, 2026

We operate almost entirely on autopilot, even if we are doing something complicated.

As a general rule - if you've already done something a few times, you probably aren't being truly intentional when you do it again.

The good news: if we are a collection of habits, and habits are learned, then we can learn new habits and unlearn old ones.

Your body probably won't enjoy the process

It likes to know what is going to happen next, even if what happens next is something you don't like.

So don't be surprised if change feels threatening, and don't give up before the new becomes the familiar.
